Miners Bank of Hazleton Announces Branch in Conyngham, PA

(Conyngham, PA – June 15, 2013) – The Miners Bank announced today that it has reached an agreement to lease a Bank branch facility in Conyngham, Pennsylvania.
The Branch will open as a Miners Bank of Hazleton branch as soon as regulatory approval is received. It is expected that this approval will be granted within 45 days.
“This action is an outgrowth of our community bank strategy to provide coverage to the strong markets of Luzerne County. We look forward to establishing new relationships and servicing Conyngham and the surrounding areas,” said George H. Groves, President and Chief Executive Officer of Miners Bank.

The opening of the Conyngham Branch complements four (4) Schuylkill County branches currently operated by Miners Bank in Minersville, Gordon, Frackville, and Tremont. The Miners Bank of Hazleton also operates a loan production office in Hazleton, Pennsylvania.
